About the Authors
Yiping Guo, Ph. D.
Yiping is a Senior Quantitative Analyst at the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC). He holds a Ph.D. in Actuarial Science from the University of Waterloo and has extensive experience in research and teaching across actuarial science, quantitative finance, and machine learning. His work has been published in leading academic journals, including the European Actuarial Journal, International Journal of Theoretical and Applied Finance, and Communications in Statistics – Theory and Methods. He is also an Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) and was named a James C. Hickman Scholar by the Society of Actuaries in 2022.
Yechao Meng, Ph. D.
Yechao is an Assistant Professor at the University of Prince Edward Island. He earned his Ph.D. in Actuarial Science and Master in Mathematics from the University of Waterloo, where he also taught as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and Sessional Instructor.
