What Students are Saying
Frequently Asked Questions
  • FINAL EXAMS: Students are responsible for finding a proctor for the final examination. The final exam must be proctored by a credentialed actuary or can be a remote proctor using the ProctorU service. Computer-based tests are randomly-generated from a question bank and are unique for each test. Paper & pencil tests are all the same and therefore fall into a more stringent security protocol.
  • Remote Proctoring Option with ProctorU: Those who choose the Computer-Based Test (CBT) for their final exam: ACTEX Learning has authorized ProctorU to provide remote proctoring services for only $28. This service is offered as a convenience for our students. ACTEX does not profit from use of this service. Students must create a ProctorU account and are responsible for scheduling and paying ProctorU for their exam. The ProctorU service is NOT included in the Pass Guarantee. If you need to retake your exam, you will need to pay for their services again. Some of the advantages of using ProctorU:
    • You do not need to find an ASA or FSA to proctor your exam, you do not need to go to your proctor’s location, and the service is pre-approved by us.
    • ProctorU is available worldwide 24 hours a day and can schedule your exam when you are ready.
    • You can take the final exam in the comfort of your home, office or any private setting with Internet.
  • Students must agree to the ACTEXeLearning.com Site Policy in order to access their online course.
  • COURSE RETAKE POLICY: Students who are unable to achieve a passing score on their first attempt may take the on-demand version of the course, or the final examination ONE time at no additional charge. If the student does not receive a passing score after the first retake (course or exam) opportunity, the student must re-enroll in the course without a discount.
  • COURSE REFUND POLICY
    • Course policy: students taking this course on-demand are eligible for a 100% refund of tuition up to 72 hours after purchase, and a 50% refund from 72 hours to a week after purchase, provided no materials have been accessed. After 1 week, students may pause the course for up to 6 months, but no refund will be given.
    • Study Manual Refund Policy: Please note that there are no refunds for digital study manuals or bundles. All printed study manuals may be returned under the terms of the ACTEX Learning Return Policy.
