About Exam PCPA
Property and Casualty Predictive Analytics (PCPA) will be a new, two-part requirement for the ACAS credential focusing on predictive modeling and analytical skills.
- The first part will be a 2-hour, multiple choice exam.
- The second part will be a project completed independently over a two-week period. The project utilizes innovative predictive modeling techniques to help candidates and professionals in the actuarial field to gain a deeper understanding of key concepts and improve their predictive capabilities.
- The exam is offered continuously at Pearson VUE test centers.
- For the project, candidates are given materials and a data set, and they have two weeks to complete and submit.
- You must pass the exam before you can register for the project.
- CAS estimates ~80 hours of study/preparation for the exam portion.
- The project is estimated to take ~20 hours over the two weeks (including planning, writing, revising).
